Once upon a time, in a large forest near a Two-leg city, lived four Clans, each lead by a strong Leader. The first is found to the southeast, deep among the tall green trees, bushes, and vegetation; the second, to the southwest, on an island surrounded by rapids and seaweed. Third, to the northwest, plains of hills and grass rolled out, with thickets, caves and holes, and fourth, to the northeast, a marsh hidden by drooping trees and deep bogs. The Clans were made up of fierce, noble Warriors, who lived and died by the Warrior Code, their Clans, and their Leaders.
There had always been a competition between land, prey and other natural resources among the Clans, but through the binding power of StarClan, their ancestors, they always Gathered together under every full moon, in the clearing between Fourtrees, and remained at peace with each other.
StarClan has always guided them through the right and the wrong, by sending messages to Leaders and Medicine Cats in their sleep. Spiritual, was their relationship with the higher felines: they were with them always. Medicine Cats and Leaders alike often traveled to the Moonstone for a heightened link with the celestial beings, should they find themselves in need of help or advice.
One Gathering, however, things did not go as planned. As the Leaders were announcing news to the Clans, a shadow was cast over the moon- a dark, ominous sign during a Gathering. A message, or warning from StarClan? Or something else?
A demon of feathers and talons descended onto Fourtrees, scattering the Clans and picking off cats. And it wasn’t alone. Three others had invaded the forest, each terrorizing and ravaging as it pleased. War raged between feline and fowl, and many lives were lost. Families were torn apart, and Warriors were afraid of each move they made, lest it be the wrong one and they find themselves being carried away into the sky. Rarely did one escape such a situation...
Three years the terror spread, and the Clans were afraid to attend Gatherings. The cats fought back valiantly, but for each small victory they paid a heavy price. Finally, they merged together for a final bloody battle, deemed the War of the Skies, in which the last of the large birds was defeated. The Clans lay in ruins, with very few surviving Warriors- it will be a long mourning. New Leaders must be elected, Medicine Cats chosen, and Deputies appointed. But from now, where do they go?
...it's been two moons since the War of the Skies, and the broken pieces of their Warrior lives are finally being picked up. It now falls to the younger generation to rebuild their future. Will they work together to repair their home? What difficulties will they face with new Leaders, and young Warriors?
What happens next is up to you.
